- Tom Kitching has joined the band as a full-time member, playing fiddle.

- Chris Perry has retired as a full-time member of Albireo in order to have time to pursue his other musical ventures. He'll still be appearing from time to time as a guest player.

- We've been asked to open the 2005-2006 season
of the Poynton Ceilidhs and to play for the Poynton Christmas party.
They're a friendly crowd - feel free to come along.

- The Albireo Project,
who aim to promote interest and participation in folk music and dance
within the Stockport community, have been awarded a voluntary arts
grant of £1000 by the Stockport MBC Arts Team. The money is to fund
the production of a CD and booklet of modified dance and music, to be
used by people with disabilities and older people. The project is
being managed by a committee of Richard Ainsworth, chairperson; Brenda
Blair, treasurer; and Phil Cawsey, secretary.
